Custom DP
If I were to do this myself....What would I need? Just some 3 inch mandrel tubing, a tube bender (got that), some flanges, some gaskets, a flex joint, a hanger, that's it right? I want to be able to replace the DP with the original cat for smog purposes. I am also thinking about making a fake looking cat shroud.........anything else?

Exactly....
By totally eliminating the stock cat, and using 2.5" pipe instead...there should be a difference right? I guess I will need to drill a hole for the O2 sensor...and again, make a fake shroud that looks like a cat....then if I am caught, it will look stock.
I would need to pull the cat to measure and determine the proper bends in the tubing...should be easy though, no?

I am running a 3" to 2.5" race pipe to a stock DP.
Mad a huge difference, but then I am pumping out alot more exhaust since my motor is 2032cc's with a K04. The race pipe made the boost come on a little smoother and where my full boost (18psi) hits is a little higher in the rpms but after that the power comes on much faster. I have noticed now that I do tend to get a 2-3psi spike and I did not get that before.
