Custom Shift Boot Install?
So i recently got my hand on some fabric to make myself a new shift boot...
...I Have a 98.5 A4 and have already popped of the old shift boot..the problem is i cannot remove the actual leather boot from the plastic bottom...
...is there something im missing? how do i remove the leather?
also if anyone knows what dimensions i should cut the pieces to sew that would also help!
any ideas/opinions will be appreciated!

Use the existing boot as a template....
carefully cut the thread on one of the seams and use the boot as a template. If things don't work out you can have the separated seam sewn back together agin....so don't cut the leather.
