I WILLLLL do a write-up, the car is being dropped off Sun night and Mon. AM I will be doing it.
I charge by the hour.... we'll see what it takes, but if I have to spend a bunch of extra time figuring it out and such I certainly can't charge for all that.
I worked on it a bit today trying to diag the starting issue. As it always goes the car started fine for me, and continued to display NO problems at all. Isn't that the way it always goes... mechanic gets it and the car is healed by it's self.
I took the clutch switch (the start lock out, not the vac./cruise one) out since it is so simple to remove and hooked it up to my meter in the shop. I ran it through about 125-140 cycles... it never once failed for even a split second... I think it's fine. My guess is actually the relays. My hope is that it will act up so I can go around with the meter and find where it stops sending the power to the starter. It may be the starter. Hard tellin'.

Oh noooo this is now a really old thread and no one will read it, but I was reading all the way down hoping to see a write up on the upper oil pan removal! Was this ever achieved? Does anyone know? My 2.8 30v is hemorrhaging oil from the upper oil pan gasket!
