is the CV boot normal wear issue on these cars?

Default is the CV boot normal wear issue on these cars?
Had my car in for service today (60k and tie rod recall) and my front driver's side cv boot is torn clear in half. Gonna go back in shortly to have that replaced.

Its not unusual if you're lucky it wasnt torn for that long so you wont have to replace the CV joint

Default unfortunately... i think it has...
it's almost dry, and i noticed a lot of grease when i replaced my brake discs and pads a couple months ago but didn't realize it was from the cv joint.

In general,yes. Esp. the outer ones which go through a greater range of movement

Default i wish i had known about it whenever i replaced my brakes earlier
it's blatantly obvious when you know when you're looking at.

Once they split , a lot of grease is thrown all around in the general area.
