Cyl. 4,5,6 Misfiring.... How come???
had timing redone after it was done improperly. After that i replaced the coil pack and plugs. DID NOT REPLACE WIRES. The car is throwing Misfire codes on 4,5 and 6. What could this possibly be?
I was first told that it is most likely the wires... and then told again by a few people that maybe the valves.

Did you release the cam gears from the camshafts?
The belt has to be tensioned manually before you set the torque on the camshaft bolts. The cam gears should be floating which allows for the belt length between the gears to be tensioned like the rest of the belt.

I did a cam adjuster on a Passat 30V back when I worked for VW and one of the cams was one tooth off...the car would misfire at idle but as soon as you stepped on the gas it went away.
