Cylinder misfire cylinder 1, moved to cylinder 3.. Need help
When I changed the coil pack from cylinder 1 to cylinder 3 the misfire fallowed, scanned it with my vag. So I thought it would be safe to say it was the ignition coil. Bought a new one and it still misfires in cylinder 3. The ignition coil I bought is the black part that connects the metal piece to the coil pack. Would it now be safe to say it is the metal part that connects to the ignition coil which is the part that has the rubber over it? The car does not shake violently but it does studder in the lower rpms. Cel would flash then turn solid. Wouldnt come right back on when cleared. I am lost..... Any other suggestions, my car is a 97 1.8tq

I'm not exactly following what you replaced. I'm assuming the "coil pack" itself, which gets bolted into place. Did you also buy the boot that snaps onto the coil pack, and plug? That can cause misfires also.
