I thought I'd share a true story with you:

I bought my very first Audi about a year ago here in Dallas, TX. You may have seen the news; Dallas has not had measurable rain for something like 70 days now. Two weeks ago there was a huge water main that was broke due to a fiber company drilling to lay some new cables and the end result was the flooding of 20 million plus gallons of water flooding several downtown Dallas building. Well one of the buildings (the one I live in) had about 30 feet of water completely fill 2 levels of the basement were we park our cars.

My building (11 stories with about 190 Loft units) was evacuated but not before I got to see my 1999.5 A4 completely submerged in the rushing water in under 15mins. As you can imagine I was a little upset, but at least my wife, pets and all of our contents were ok.

I didn't get to see my cars (A4, Acura Integra GS, and a friends Vulcan bike) until they were winched out of the basement garage. All the vehicles that were lost were placed in a parking lot; I took some pictures that I will post as soon as I get them developed. It was a sad site to see, Audi's, Lexus, Jag's, a lot of Beemer's, a few Porsche boxsters, various SUV's and a old restored Mustang all still full of water and mud.

Insurance has taken care of my vehicles but I truly feel for the people that didn't have insurance.

I'm a proud new owner of a brand new 2001 A4 1.8TMQ Sport Bose. (wishing I had got Xenon)

Does anyone have site with any performance stats for the 2001 A4's 1.8T's? I'll be chipping after the cars broke in but I've not found much info on chips/mods for the 2001's yet.
