DEALER LOST MY CAR FOR HALF AN HOUR TODAY!!! (medium sized dealer rant)
Went in to get my creeking control arm checked--which they wanted 290 bucks for the part and 100 for labor! AND I TOLD THEM TO GIVE ME MY CAR BACK PLEASE. ANYWAY, So they went to get it and they couldn't find it. Turns out the mechanic who looked at it parked it in some obscure location waiting for me to give the heads up to work on it(which I did not give)and then decided to go to lunch. ANYWAY, they find the car out in the back of the lot after 25 minutes of looking for it however the keys are not in it. They are found 10 minutes later in a place that they were not willing to tell me about (my guess is the mechanics pocket).
OH, and the part they wanted to sell me for 290 bucks--- it was located by someone a few post down for a measly 105 smackaroonies (thanks whoever you are).
GUESS I WIL FIX THIS ONE MYSELF!
*end of rant
I did get a free wash out of the deal though :-)

I took my Jag XJ6 in for trani work. They lost it for a few hours. Turns out it was at the AAMCO
shop on the other side of town. I guess the dealer (Cutter Motors in Santa Barbara) couldn't figure out what was causing the trani to shift hard (after they rebuilt it twice) so they took it to AAMCO. After that, I sold the piece of sh*t.
It's kinda amazing that Jaguars are now (judging from 1997 models) one of the top 5 manufactures for long term reliability.
