I just purchased a 2000 a4 quatro and I wanted to know how I could tell if the low beams on the car where the xenon style lights. Sounds like a bone head question but I need to ask, also I need to put alittle more pep in the car what is the best direction to head with out breaking the bank.

you can tell because when you turn them on, they take a second to get to full brightness, and they have a blue tint to them. I would do and intake/exhaust setup... and then of course.. the chip.

Yes, Xenon's were an Option in the '00 cars and a damn good one at that. To tell if you have them or not, notice the delay of the light output from the Xenon's (IE it's a blue'ish/white'ish glow) that looks like it warms up to a bright white glow. If you have halogens, they come on immediately and aren't that bright. Best way to tell, is to look at the cars in front of you. I always say the Xenon's give off a white'ish/green'ish glow on the back of a car, where halogens are just white or yellow'ish.
