Default Do you recommend asking the dealer in advance for the remote range fix?

I have scheduled my 10000 miles service this month. Is it necessary to ask the dealer in advance about remote range fix or could they fix it right away, as soon as they see the problem for themselves?
All suggestions appreciated.

Default Good idea to ask in advance to give them time to get "fix pack" in stock

Not everyone's remote fix helped... I think any update w/ the word "PACK" in it is jinxed.. so much for SP4 being Y2K compliant then!

Default I asked Mahan Audi (Houston) to Preinstall the remote code.......

..... of my choice and they said no problem! Wow, a satisfied Mahan service customer? I doubt I'll take a chance on anything more than a lightbulb change thought after this weeks thread though!

I just scheduled my first maintenance and told them that I wanted the remote range done. They noted it on the schedule so if nothing else, they can't say they were not told in advance.
Gene
98.5 2.8

I just asked them to do it when I took my 2.8 in for the recall. No problem ( Carlsen )
-randy
