Default Does the A4 give a warning indicator when service is due?....

My 98 Avant was serviced some time before I bought it. The dealer put a sticker in the window indicating next oil change at 30040 mi. I went beyond that last week and expected a "service due" indicator. I thought I remembered reading in the manual or something that the dealer has to reset an indicator of some kind when performing warranty service.

Default Yes

Well, sort of. It doesn't actually come on til like 1,000 miles past when service is due, based on reports here, I've never seen mine go on, but never gone 1,000 miles overdue either.<p>Regards,
Rodney

Depends on how service guys set it -- I get the "OIL" indicator 500 miles before.
