Default I have one on my '99. Very noticeable improvement, though tame compared to APR, GIAC, Wett, etc.

It was the right bang for the buck for me, since I just wanted to boost the 1.8T to near V6-like power levels. I wasn't looking for stoplight drag races. If you really want to maximize your cars potential, you may want to try the more expensive chips.

I have had no trouble with the P-chip. Greedspeed (an aftermarket shop with a special relationship with Neuspeed) does the installs. Overnight express to them, same day install, overnight express back. Down time is under 48 hours. No pinging or other harmful effects so far even in hot weather, at least not with the 93 octane fuel that I use.

All in all, it took the car from feeling a bit sluggish to feeling like it's "in shape."

Like DRG, I use the .8 bar chip in my 99 TQMS. I totall agree it is the right bang for the buck.

Default I have the 1.1 bar Neuspeed chip on my 00 A4 1.8T and it is VERY good (more)

Everyone here is APR freaks.. This chip is good. I have driven a 2000 A4 with APR and my car is no different.. Best deal for the money..I totally researched this very closely.. They don't even have to solder a chip on.. No pinging at all. Very steady increase with no bucking, etc.

Check out europeanspeed.com for the upcoming chip shootout for the results..

Thanks Greedspeed..
