does anyone know how many wires should the connector for the maf sensor have?

the maf sensor on my wife's my00 a4 1.8t has 5 pins but there are only 4 wires on my connector and i have a check engine light. i was wondering if the previous owner messed around w/ the sensor.

What's the PN on the MAF? 06A-906-461-DX should be the correct number.

4 wires good... If you look at the 5th hole, it should have a green plug in it...
