Does anyone know this person? Sent them $ for an item that was damaged and phone is dead...

sounds like a scam. send damaged or wrong part, claim USPS did it in transit, he keeps $, you're
paid by USPS *and* he sometimes gets to keep the part ... assuming you mail it back to him, he refunds you your money and he'll claim the damaged part via USPS or do it all over again with the same part.
Either way, it's only increasing the cost of my stamps. You should make the USPS aware of his actions.

when I was dremel'ing the Quattro badge for my RS4 grille, I probably ate a quarter of the debris.
It was a hot day in a buddy's garage (BRK, Ben, who doesn't post too much since he sold his A4) on his Dad's work bench. This was back in the day when I first started mod'ing my A4. I was doing the 15k mile oil change and installing a TT BPV (which blew about 7500 miles later) with his help since he had a Forge in his A4 (which is now sold). While he was fighting the one time only clamp, I was working the badge. I was about half way done with getting the correct angle to fit tightly around the grille, I stopped to quickly wipe my right arm across my top lip that was dripping with sweat. The maneuver shoved most of the debris in my mouth. Since it wasn't my shop/garage, I didn't want to just spit on the floor. So, I grabbed my beer off bench, ran for the open garage door to spit out the debris from my arm. Well, there was debris in my beer as well, which caused me cough and I ended up swallowing it all. *gulp* Thankfully, Ben was swearing up a storm under my car with the clamp or he would've really been laughing at me instead of..."WTF are doing? *lol* You idiot".
LOL, still makes me laugh.
