Default Does this sound like my alternator is shot?
I have been noticing this lately, when the car is running the voltage meter reads at 14.1 and anytime I turn on the A/C the voltage drops down to ~12.. This also happens when I have my stereo on also, but it doesnt drop as drastically as with the A/C...

Anyone know what this could be from? Anyone experience this before?

Default weak *** Audi electrical system...
watch your voltage and idle dip when you roll down the windows.

Default Donnie, the 2.8 alternator has more amps...
you may think about switching?

Default When ever the ac compressor is turned on, it dips to about 12..
turn on the lights and fog lights, the radio, may dip slightly below 12.

Default happened to mine - too much engine wash i believe. i replaced the battery but it didnt go away
so i replaced the alternator (used 120A Bosch)
