"PEPTM MIL Eliminators or Malfunction Indicator Light Eliminators, are electronic devices that prevent your "Check Engine" or "Service Engine Soon" light from coming on when an offroad H or X pipe is installed on a late-model vehicle with OBD-II emissions systems. If you install an Offroad H or X pipe on your car without MIL Eliminators, your "Check Engine" or Service Engine Soon" will always be on, and you won't have the opportunity of being alerted if something more serious is wrong with your vehicle. I have been looking into this too
and most people that have tired it say most of them dont work.
BTW if there is a real issue with your car, the CEL will flash and if your running a race pipe you should be using a vag once a week anyway.

Re: I have been looking into this too
I'm going to use a test pipe, so I know the check engine light will be on. I'm just looking for a way to shut it off.
Why should I use the vag once a week??

ok... a little trick from my DSM... buy some really high quality Aluminum Foil
like they use commercially. Then wrap it over the 2nd o2 sensor as you turn it into the threads. Of course you must be careful and it will likely wearout over time and come out the tailpipe, but this will allow the sensor to see heat but greatly reduced emissions. Never tried it on an Audi with the advanced ECU, but it works good in the less technically advanced DSM world. Normal disclaimers apply.
