Doh! Sat down with screwdriver in back pocket. Any experience repairing leather seats?

SUPERGLUE, no kidding either, pick out the one that's for leather and wood, i...
used it cause i had a tear, it works great. i mean think about it: leather is basically skin, skin bonds like a motherf%&ker with super glue. so far no problems.

prior owner of my 90 was a contractor who forgot that he had a grease pencil in his pocket and got
it all over the driver's side seat near the left lumbar and bolster area. I never could it completely out :-(
I would try finding a shop that does interiors. They should be able to help and possibly do it for you at a reasonable price.

Are you in Colorado (assuming so by your handle)?
If so... I CAN say this- Stay far, far away from a place called tear-repair. I had them fix a tear in my leatherette side bolster, and after completion of the work I had 2 major issues-
1) The job was pretty half assed- The material they used is very stiff, and I could see where they attempted to 'fill' the tear in with some sort of liquid/gel(?). The tear was still pretty apparent though now it was sealed up- No real improvement in the appearance. So... I thought 'at least the tear won't get worse'... What was I thinking?
2) Two days after the fix, the repair had cracked in the exact same spot, though this time it was far worse as now it's cracked and not a tear. The material they used to fix the tear, as mentioned above was very stiff, and because there was no real give, the result was a very unpleasant crack which is now much larger than the initial tear, and much worse to look at as there are several splits along the crack.
So... At this point, I am looking to just recover my seats altogether this Spring/Summer. The idea and novelty of tear-repair was appealing- They were convenient as they came to my office to do the work, their price was right, and they assured me that their fix would be 100 times stronger than the original leatherette. But... My experience with them is not a positive one, and I would caution anyone thinking of using them.
Just my $0.02
Cheers,
Randy

you better - it's just gonna get bigger and bigger....
i learned that the hard way in my previous car. had a tiny tear - about 6 months later, it was huge and the foam was flaking out of the seat.
i guess that old saying is true -- "a stitch in time saves nine"
