Default Doing the Phatvoice update to my Phatnoise system, DMS no longer recognized.

I spent some time last night going through all the steps in the Phatvoice docs to get better voice prompts out of my Phatnoise system. So, after all is said and done, when i put the DMS cartridge back into the Phatnoise box, it no longer seems to work. I push the CDC (CD changer button) on my radio to load up the Phatnoise system, but it acts like there is no DMS in there.
So, i'm going to have to spend tonight trying to figure out what's up. But, i was hoping someone here has run into the same issue and may know what's up?

I had to modify the phatnoise.ini file on the DMS, so that's going to be the first place i look in figuring this out...

Default well if firmware was updated just then...

did you let it sit for 5 minutes to update before you decided it wasn't working?

Default i haven't updated firmware recently, so i do need to double check that.

i updated the firmware back when i first got the phatnoise system, less than a year ago. i didn't think there had been any firmware updates since then, but i need to check.

as for letting the DMS synch, i had it in there for about 45 minutes during my drive to work this morning. at first, i assumed the problem was i hadn't put the DMS in all the way, but when i got to work, i tried it a couple more times with teh same result.

Default Re: If you have a backup of the contents, I would say format ...

the DMS, i.e., the two logical units in it.

Had a similar problem a long time ago, and that did the trick.

Default thanks. i've verified the fimware and it's up to date.

i've also reverted the .ini file change i had done.

so, i think the next step is to format the DMS, as you've suggested. didn't want to have to do it, but not sure what else to do at this point...

thx
