opened my drivers door tonight wheni got home and i heard a snap and now the handle is lose. still opens the door and all but something inside snapped.

anyone ever experience this? im assuming need a new handle and such?

i guess ill add it to the cpo list! Its growing... :-P

I don't know how many times I have heard this one before. I had it happen to me and I replaced the handle. It is a spring inside that causes the spring perch to snap due to faulty manufacturing. My replacement handle was defective and when I asked about it we checked it against a bunch of other ones at the dealer and they all were defective. AofA says it happens in the manufacturing process and it should still hold up though...yet we all know that is not true and it will break in time. So..my second one finally snapped a couple months ago and I just live with it because it is a waste of money to replace something with a defective part. It still works without the spring...the spring is only there so that your handle doesn't rattle.

i'd stop by and let them see it... otherwise you'll need 2 appointments to get it fixed.
