I recently drove from NY to SC....

I left at 11:30 at night. I hit pretty much no traffic... But I can't stress this enough: Get sleep before you leave!

My girlfriend and I left after a full day of doing stuff... By 6AM, we had been up almost 24 hours and we wanted to DIE.

I'm trying to convince my fiance to go to Sanibel for our Honey Moon but she's bent on Hawaii...

I suppose Hawaii may be better but I'm not crazy about flying for ever the night after I get hitched!

Another tip: V1.

This thing is so unbelievable... You have to experience it to believe it. It was dead-on reliable for the whole trip. It probably helped shave an hour off the trip.
