LOL! Got to give her credit for thinking the right way at least!

Anyway, I have some issue with the turbo now ;( sounds very "harsh", doesn't spool at low rpm *at all* just makes an odd wirrrrrrrr sound, but no boost till the rpms climb. Then it surges a bit and sounds *gulp* like bad bearings--maybe? Not really bad, just not right. I got home and popped the hood right away to see if it was really hot... it was, very red, very very red hot. Granted it was dark, but I wasn't running it that hard......... not really good huh?

Thoughts? Car has been running very well lately with the exception of a Vag-Com code now and then for "charge pressure upper limit exceeded" #17963 and also a *somewhat* frequent #18047 "Accelerator pedal pos. sensor 1+2 Range/Performance.... not sure what that means exactly and have not searched it yet. Thanks for any ideas all...

a failing diverter valve can cause that. Check the valve and the line running from it to the intake manifold.
