Was pulling out from a dead stop and my emergency brake light on the dash came on for a few seconds and the car beeped. It did this twice to me, any one have a clue what the heck this it and what it is trying to tell me?

It means your brake fluid is low. Fill it up, and find out why it's leaking. I had this happen a few times on my '98 A4 before I took it into the dealer. It turned out to be a leaking clutch slave cylinder.

This was happening to me recently following a brake bleed where I didn't top off enough. Fluid added, problem gone.
