It's the security code to the Pentagon's computer system....

or the European search function...

Has NOTHING to do with headlights.

I'll be easy on ya...they are europenan spec headlamps....

they lack the orange side reflector that us Americans depise sooo much. They also have a better lens...allowing for more light output and a more agressive cut-off point.

Better? Different. USDOT requires x% of light to go UP, to light up signs etc..

That is not true in Europe, so, all availible light goes on the road, where it's more useful.

This is sooo silly. Instead of correcting my answer...why didnt you just answer the kid's question??

In addittion, E-codes do have a "better" lens meaning that US spec lens's are geared more towards light on the right hand side of the car....as not to blind oncoming traffic (on the left). E-code lenses are way more aggressive in this respect. Good for us...bad for other cars.
