am thinking about trading car in for S4...will apr give me any discount for another chip for the S4..trying to cut cost...TIA

Default I'm sorry to say not likely.
I'd make your current chip a value added aspect of your sale of the A4 to get back some of your investment.

Or just find someone to sell it to in extchange for their stock ECU, probly your best bet.
