Elective BPV replacement

Elective BPV replacement
I have a 2001.5 A4 1.8T with barely 3500 miles on it so far. It will be due for its 6 month service in a week or so. Also, I have an APR chip and spare ECU so it will have the stock chip in at service time. Since I'm running with a chip most of the time and I understand it stress the BPV, should I consider replacing the stock BPV with the one for the TTs or another after market brand? Will the dealer replace this for me without giving me a hard time, ie why, are you chipped, etc. ? Would telling them I'm just trying to avoid problems down the road and want the better BPV now, be a good enough reason?

Somewhat disagree....mine was bad by 60k but it didn't really have any of the classic failure...
...symptoms. On a whim I installed a Bailey and couldn't believe how much smoother the car felt in quick on/off throttle situations. Plus I picked up some more mid-range power.
