Electrical drain
I have a brand new battery and alternator from Oreilly both have warranties but my car will still die when I let it sit. It was running great for a couple weeks after the alternator was put in but then I let it sit for about a week and it didn't have enough juice to start when I went to drive it. Starter kicked for about 2 seconds and all the lights were on but it wouldn't turn over. Jumped it the next day and drove it for about 5 minutes and parked it (didn't have enough time to actually drive it around) and went out later that day to drive it again to charge up the battery and the interior lights wouldn't even come on, it was completely dead again.
The previous owner put an amp and a subwoofer in the trunk but took the sub and left the amp hooked up. There are cables lieing in my trunk where the sub was but im not sure if that alone will kill the battery.
Thanks in advance!!

Don't try to start the car you will smoke the meter . Just lock the doors and watch the meter.
After a couple of minutes the electronics should go into standby and draw less than 50mA.
If it doesn't you have a parasitic draw. Is sounds like at least 150mA. 2 watts or so.
Aftermarket stereo/ amp/ sub.
Brake light switch causing brake lights to stay on.
Other bulbs, glove box trunk etc.
90% of these problems are aftermarket stuff. I had an Ipod interface on my A4 that wouldn't always power off.
