I have a 1999 Audi A4 Quattro - (hope I am on the right forum?)
Anyway, I just got my car out of AviStar parking lot near JFK airport and when I went to drive it, it was all messed up. Clutch was messed up, not catching, rubber smell was terrible, no acceleration, radio not working, etc. etc. Someone took my car out when I was away for the 8 days and royally messed it up. I drove home 2.5 hours, had to - but it was a challenge. In the garage now for investigation. Upon first look, they hooked it up to 3 diagnostic computers they have for Audis and they cannot get any readings whatsoever. More investigation tomorrow when they have more time. Someone suggested that the car's computer might have been stolen - black market for used parts. But would the car still run if that were the case?

Did you notice the mileage before you dropped off and after you picked it up? What kind of symptoms is your radio experiencing is it just asking for a code? Open up the hood and check for evidence of any tampering. Inform AviStar immediately just to give them a heads up until you find more info.

Unfortunately I did not take down the mileage. But I did call customer service, she was helpful and left a message with the claims person. The guy at the parking location was a total jerk and was getting no where with him.
