Engine knocking????!
whoa...lately i've been driving and it seems to me that the engine is making funny, almost "knocking" sounds. it mostly happens when i get on the throttle, lay off for a split second, then get on it again. right when i get back on the throttle, i hear a little knock-like sound. what gives? I have an '01 1.8t with about 52K miles on it (high mileage, i know, but it's my car and it's meant to be driven, right?). could it be the gas? lately i've been filling up with Chevron (SoCal). HELP!
