I had mine go bad about a month ago...
I ended up paying $650 ish, with a ripoff on the labor charge $115/hr (Beverly Hills). I think the breakdown was, 4 hrs labor + parts + tax.
You may be able to get a better price if you look around, it just depends how much time it's worth. Either way its a $hit load of cash.
