Exhaust question on 2001.5 -- Not typical
Had to pack three people and three mountain bikes in the car on Sat. The trunk wouldn't quite close, so we were getting a little exhaust in the cabin. It was hardly noticeable (thanks to those ULEV standards), but when I accelerated hard, there was this unmistakable smell of ammonia. Now obviously, whenever you accelerate hard an engine burns gas less efficiently, but ammonia?! Is this normal? Is it some additive in the Chevron 91 Octane I was using?

I never go to chevron.... "F" that.... Techron once made my old 4 barrel choke out at idle.
Even if it is OK for fuel injectors and such,
I don't care... It just doesn't smell as good as Shell.
