Default External temperature shown as "E"
The external temperature gauge on my 1998 A4 1.8T Quattro has, suddenly, decided not to show a temperature, just the letter E. I searched for info on how to repair/replace here without any success. Suggestions on how to fix this would be very welcome. Thanks.

Default Replace sensor on front bumper. or is it before condensor...

There are two. The computer chooses the one reading the coolest temperature.

Default check the sensor by the power steering cooler. Make sure it didn't fall off
or you forgot to hang it up, then as you're driving off your lift you snap the end off.

not that that ever happened.
