F*CKING SPEC!!!!!

So I get a call from my shop today and they tell me that spec sent the wrong clutch! I told him to read the serial numbers to me that were written on the box. They matched the #'s for my car on the spec website which leads me to believe that they midlabeled the box. Great...so now I have to wait until Monday to contact spec, send them the incorrect clutch back, then wait for the new one to arrive, all the while my car is going to be sitting at the shop. Great.
I've been thinking though...why would spec write the correct serial #'s for a stage 3 clutch/flywheel for my 2001 A4 1.8T on the wrong box? Don't they have the kits organized??!! My shop said the splines of the clutch don't match up...I dont know what a spline is, but oh well. Is there a chance my shop is doing something wrong with the install? I'm almost positive they've installed spec clutches before, so I'm a bit confused.

that sux...

sorry to hear...i hate downtimes, that's why i'm not doing my clutch till i really need it.

my stock clutch is holding just fine.

I'm not too happy with 'em either right now.

I have some buddies that run a performance parts shop and they have a dealer account with Spec. So I went to them to order me a Spec Stage II clutch and a LWFW (cause they will sell it to me at their dealer cost). It has been 3 weeks since I ordered it and they have no idea when it will arrive (they only know that they placed the order). So am trying to cancel the order cause I ended up getting a even better deal on a AWE stage 3 clutch kit from someone on ebay (it is new and never installed).
