Farewell to my beloved A4 and all my good friends on Audiworld.....
With a huge lump in my throat, I have sold the A4. Fortunately I found someone who appreciates all the mods, and paid me accordingly, so I left it as is. This car is so well setup it would have been tragic to revert to stock form.
Due to needs for a more utilitarian whip (mobile dj'ing and snowboarding), I've gotten a loaded Rallye Red Honda Element EX, kind of Ferrari Red with black (not gray) trim. It's a new color for 05, the first Element color scheme that made me go "wow".
Audiworld has been amazing. Over the last four years (holy crap, that long?), I have tremendously enjoyed and valued the help with my car and the friendships I've made. I've also really enjoyed sharing my experiences and what I've learned.
Looking at the bigger picture, I think AW is an excellent example of the power of the internet. Think of how much time, money, and mistakes people have saved by seeking input from the AW community.....whether they're debadging or replacing the clutch.
Big big shout-outs: Kris Hansen, Mark Bradford, Just Dave, RKA, Stickerboy, Kirath....and many many others whose screennames I've forgotten.
And last but not least, a standing ovation for the Audiworld Staff for an outstanding website.
Drive safe and happy modding. Never follow.

Hey, any plans on coming up north any time soon? we still need to hook up for some boarding!!
You'll enjoy that Honda, they are strange looking, but tough as nails.

Good luck Dan!
I read the subject and first thought to myself "I wonder if he's still looking at an Element?"...low and behold! Good luck with it...and remember, when you're ready to drop that biatch, give Kris a holler! He needs a challenge, and unfortunately for him the tractor doesn't have a suspension. :-P

Thanks Kris....ya know, the look of the Element really grows on you.....
once you grasp just how functional the car truly is, and how the look of the car is very much a result of the functionality.
