Fault Codes

My chipped 1.8T has recently registered the following VAG fault codes:

Boost pressure control solenoid--N75
ACF solenoid

Does anyone know if these solenoids are controlled by the ECU, or are they simply faulty mechanical parts that can be replaced? Thanks.
