What a beautiful day it turned out to be yesterday! The weather gods blessed us with a clear and sunny sky. It was a nice break from the nonstop rain we've been having.

We grouped by Starbucks at Commons' in Calabasas at about 10am. There were about 24 cars total including a couple of non-Audiers. We mingled and chatted up a storm with fellow Audiphiles, got acquainted with some new faces all in the meanwhile (multi-tasking) we were nibbling on Crispy Crème Donuts.

We got on the road at about 11:00am and headed for the canyon roads. We drove to Mulholland Hwy and then onto Old Mulholland Hwy. This was my first time on Old Mullholland Hwy and I have to tell ya it was a beautiful stretch of twisties with lush vegetation on either side of the road. This is also where we saw an unfortunate motorcycle accident. It appeared a motorcyclist either took a wide turn or was going too fast and slid out onto the oncoming traffic and plowed into a Minivan. Luckily the motorcyclist lived to tell about it.

Anyway, our drive started out with a very mellow pace. We were erring on the conservative side not knowing the road conditions after all the rain we've been getting. We drove through numerous canyon roads throughout the day. We stopped for lunch at Neptune's Nest on PCH. The pace really picked up after lunch when we got on wide-open straight roads in the Camarillo area (in the middle nowhere). I'll leave the rest to your imagination....

We regrouped at "The Landing" in Thousand Oaks afterwards where we traded stories about the drive. Some of us went for Coffee and chatted till the late hours of the night, which was a lot of fun.
