Default friend of mine worked @ the airport for a bit...

he stated that the newer equipment were better on film nowadays. besides my last trip to the islands i brought a dozen of the dispo cameras - no damage. HTH

Default Not if it's x-rayed several times

I've had even 100 ASA film fogged by repeated x-raying. The only safe way is to ask and hope for a hand-check.

Just keep it separate in your carry-on and have them hand check it

Exposure is cumulative, and faster film gets fogged a lot faster than slow film
