Default Final update on the bent rim fiasco...

I just got off the phone with Eddie, another Evo shod with a P7000SS is on its way. Truth is the last thing i want is to weaken the wheel. With Chicago roads, I wanted 4 perfect wheels on my car. So in time ill take the bent rim to that place, and for 125 get it fixed and what not, so that i have a set of 5 rims now, so should anything happen in the future, i can at least still run on 5 EVo's and not look like an idiot with 3 Evo's and an OEM.

So sucky to think i bent a rim after 3 months. I never thought it would happen to me, because I'm so careful when i drive (im the kind of guy that wont even drive over covered manholes)

If another rims bends, ill just repair them from now on. I believe this was just a bad luck thing. But ill be dammned if i am buying a new rim a year or something like that! Maybe them porky 28lb Avus rims are porky for a reason.

Ill have to check what township the incident occurred in. I am going home tonight to borrow my dad's beater BMW (1989 325iX) to use till the new Evo comes in. Ill see exactly what sort of hole i hit.

Thanks for all the advise guys. I am poorer, but i feel better about my decision. Only the best for Turbo-love, i suppose

Cheers

good call. Now just get the money back from the township where it happened, and all will be well.
