WOW! This car is everything I hoped it would be...I put about 200 miles on it today (Up to Denver and back.) I'm really glad I got the sport package...the car handles beautifully. My only initial complaints were 1.) the ergonomics of the Bose system 2.) A little hesitation in automatic when in first gear (Is that normal?) 3. The 8" diameter mound of bird shat smack dab in the middle of the hood of the newly waxed car. I think I like the Tiptronic...I think I just have to get used to using it. But, it sure helps with passing and lane changing when you can slip down to 4th gear on the freeway and boost ahead. I've wanted an A4 for 2 years, today it became a reality. I've been smiling ear to ear for about twelve hours now. Thanks everyone for all the advice/input on the board.

The hesitation you are experiencing in first gear is normal. There will always be a lag when you are in first gear. Unfortunately I think this is more noticeable in the tiptronic transmission than the manual. However, the car is a great car. Enjoy it.<p>Chris K<br>98.5 1.8TQTS Tap Stage II

So the Tip is not as bad as people say? I ordered a 1.8TS+tip too
