first ticket evar.....
so i purchase my car yesterday, and i get out of laurel in westmont at around 5pm. i head northbound on i355 and enter the first tollbooth, and check for cops. i see none so i decide to go WOT to ~90mph, and then back off thinking "i dont a need a ticket in my new car".
a mile down the road there are a bunch of cops with people pulled over, and im doing about 60mph. a state trooper pulls up behind me and flashes the lights.
he walks up to me, at which point in furious, and tells me "hi son, give me your drivers license and proof of insurance"... "ok here ya go, what did i do?" "well air patrol got you pulling out of the tollbooth a mile back doing 86.5mph. im issuing you a citation for speeding"
at that point i realized that police have finally gotten smart. i then pleaded the "i just bought my car, and was testing it out". the guy had no sympathy, and tells me "well you know its real fast, and here is your ticket see you in court"
so now i get to look forward to going to court and pleading the to judge to throw it out which is not going to happen.
damn air support.

Rplea bargain.. 86.5 high way miles is about 3 points
you can bargain depending on the posted speed limit... dont tell 55 mph...
usually prosecutors hesitate to use tax payers money over small stuff like this so try to bargain with them... but insurance points are insurance points... try to pay and not get points or the most is 1 point in your lisence... good luck..

this was on an illinois express way. ive gotten...
an 89mph ticket on i90 before and it was $200, and court supervision for 90 days. this didnt go on my record. so im hoping i can do the same

Conditional Dismissal
I don't know if it is an option in your state but find out if you can ask for a conditional dismissal. You plead guilty and pay a fine, but if you don't get another ticket in 6months or a 1year then it never goes on your record and points are never added. If you do get a ticket in that time, they are both added.
