fitting ski/snowboard attachments on audi w/ yak rack
hey all,
just wondering w/o actually attempting it first... can you fit two of the yakima ski/snowboard attachments side-by-side on an avant equipped with the standard 48" cross bars? i don't know the required width for the attachments offhand.
thanks.

AudiWorld Expert
depends which attachment you are talking about
Only one of these will fit, which holds 6 pairs of skis (width of 6 skis), or 4 snowboards (width of 2 snowboards), or some combination thereof:

U can buy.......
little brackets to fit thule to yak cross-bars and get two (4 ski pair) thule ski holders. So that = 8 pairs of skis or 8 snowboards. I dont know if yak makes 4 pair ski holders, but I know thule does. (I like thule better anyway incase you didnt notice yet)

ah... cool. we mean 2 of the narrow ones...
since we're using borrowed attachments this weekend.
if one of the wide powderhounds fits with room to spare... we might just make it with 2 of the standard models. i guess we'll just try it.
thanks mark!
