found neat feature on VAGcom...no more alarm when windows are down
Nick Snyder on the S4 forum posted this, so first of all thanks to him.
I know the button below the B-pillar allows you to leave your windows cracked without fear of being the idiot whose car is screaming in the parking lot, but the sensor is completely off. Do the following steps and at least you'll still have the safety of the sensors, just much less likely to set them off during the hot summer months when you leave the windows down a bit:
SELECT CONTROL MODULE
INT. MONITOR
ADVANCED FUNCTIONS
ADAPTATION
READ CHANNEL 01
Stock value is 100%, and the available range is 50-100. I changed mine to 50(%), which I assume means my sensors are now only 50% as sensitive as they come from the factory.
ENTER 50 (or whatever # you want)
SAVE
EXIT, etc.
I haven't done any extensive testing of the 50% value (cuz I still don't wanna be the idiot whose car is screaming in the parking lot), but I have tried it in a few places and no alarms yet.
I'm happier I invested in the VAGcom software every time I use it.

I set mine to 75 about a month ago.
Last week I was having sunday dinner at the 'rents and I hear my car start to honk...
You just reminded me to crank it down to 50% next time I have the laptop in the car.
