I just got a fix-it ticket for not having a front license plate in los angeles. The dealer I bought my A4 from didn't even install the fronting mounting for a plate. He told me taht as long as I have the deal tag on the windshield that has the VIN on it, I should be okay. Is this true? I was under the impression that there is a loophole in this law that does allow you to keep the tag and have no front plate.

what's another way to install it. I would install it without the holes, have the cops inspect it, write off the ticket and take the the license plate off afterwards. haha

but be carefull taking it off, that stuff is sticky.. i would heat it up to take it off.
