The frozen Koni Coilovers....
Long 2 days short... You can't put new adjusting rings back on the rear Koni's without a special tool. So now the rears are going back to Koni so they can put them on. Not sure why they sent them to my friend in the first place, if they knew it couldn't be done without the correct tool to remove the top of the rear shocks. Only the rear rings were frozen, the fronts were fine.
Before cutting off the adjusting rings my friend and I tried a large breaker bar attached to the spanner wrench...this is what happened....

They are all built similar in those regards.
Just hit it with good penetrating oil overnight.
You don't need to use brute force on those collars, a few good taps on the wrench with a rubber mallet should do the trick.
