hi, i am having a problem with the fuel gauge on my 01 A4 1.8T, the needle changes wheres its at noticeably while driving, for example i drove it to a parking lot and i read that i have 1/2 tank of gas, when i got back in about an hour later it said a little more than 1/2, and it just keeps changing dramatically, so if anyone can help me with this that would be greatly appreciated.

The fuel gauge will change since it is based on what the ECU is reading for fuel use and MPG readings. Now if it starts moving up/down(twitching) then the sender is going bad.
