I know this has been discussed before but the search feature is down.

Does anyone carry a full sized stock wheel/tire spare (16" rim - 1997) in the spare wheel-well? I can't seem to get the floor cover to fit flat over the spare. The tire slightly interferes with the cover especially at the small plastic hand hold. I removed the styrofoam spacer which sat underneath the mini-spare and I've used the shortened screw-down clamp. Any suggestions? TIA<p>DG

I just bought an S4 a few months back, and I was suprised my spare tire was a full size (225) 17" factory matching Rim. I know if I ever biff one of them, I have a backup to replace it with. Its a good size tire to sit in there, and being an A4/S4 the same frame I would have thought, you shouldn't have a problem closing your cover to the tire. I stand corrected in thinking you also had a fullsize spare?
