GIAC chip installed
01 1.8t Avant - just needed a bit more oomph and I have to say I like it. The chip I had in the car made more power than stock but I never really used the program switching feature since I had a spare ECU and this chip is a bit more aggressive; suits me better!

yep, where have you been?
it is no secret that GIAC 1 bar chips make more power than APR 1 bar chips. Even APR admitted that they do not make the most power because they they feel that are at the "safe limits" which is about 10 hp/15 ft short.

I won't disagree with your points of fact, but are you now saying...
That giac makes 215hp (<2001MY)? Thats not what Lucas in the Performance forum noted at the Dyno Day...
Since you seem to know much about the new giac chip, fill us in. Will it be undetectable too?
