They claimed to be the "finest you can buy", and for $229.95 they better be the best.<p>It has a rubber shrink and Tefon tube cover inside, so I guess it pretty much solves the main problem for stainless steel brake lines which are easily damaged by rocks or debris. <p>However, they say the brake lines MEET DOT approval...Does that mean they haven't passed the DOT test yet?<p>If not for Neuspeed, what other brakes lines do you all recommend for my 98 1.8TQM.<p>Thanks<br>Kev

The ones from Paragon Performance are also quoted as "meeting DOT" and they are only $80 or so for the 6 lines. $230 is way too much for those brake lines in my opinion<p>Christian J. Long
