Default 6 point sockets are much better tool...

I've been slowly replacing all my 12-point with 6-point. The 12s are much more likely to round over and bolt cap from slipping. Not possible when you use a 6-point.

Default yeah...i think its a 16mm triplesquare and a 17mm allen

other than the guy on ebay selling for 30 bucks, you know of anywhere else? i've been meaning to pick up one

ditto, unless it's low torque, in which case the extra movement is nice.

Default Aren't you talking about the 12 pt standard sockets?

He's got a picture of a 12 pt socket like on the transmission bolt...completely different tool. I understand what you're saying about 6 vs. 12 pt...but it has no bearing on the tools he's considering.
