Got new cats in now code Code P0161

Hey all,

I just got 2 new magnaflow cats welded on and new pipe to a vibrant brand axle back. Now I have code Code P0161.

What could this be due to? Not connected?

All 4 O2s were replaced 27k ago

clear it and see if it comes back. BTW, what you pay for the cats / + install

and where did you get teh flex pipes?

well what does P1061 say like as in what else does it say besides P1061?

it's an engine malfunction code that is fore sure.

should say something like
P1061 - MAF values too low. or something to that effect.

Otherwise it could be a very simple misfire code

it's an O2 code, forget which side.. bank2 maybee.

yep. o2 sensor heater circuit (bank2 sensor 2)... maybe the wire were torn but IIRC, I got that code

soon after doing my cats a few years ago. .. cleared and didn't come back. I was getting various other O2 codes from bad sensors though.

I paid...

I think the code is for the drivers side rear sensor. Anyway I paid the following:

2 magnaflow cats - $48 each
Vibrant axle back exhaust - $280
Install and labor (new pipe from the cats back) - $200

They used the stock flex pipes.
