H7 Xenon wanna be lights
Hi All. Does anyone know if these are worth getting or not?
I bought the cool blue lights at Pepboys, and they keep on blowing out. So I want to get something that looks nice, but not spend a heck of a look of $$$. Thoughts? Thanks!!!

ebay lights

Spend the money, here's why:
I currenly have a set of Xenon Fusion bulbs. Sounds great, right? They look great, too. 4300K color temp, clean white light. BUT they just don't light up the road much. Why? Because most halogens don't have the power to be as bright as xenons (DUH!!) and when altered to have a different color temp (like blue coating over the glass) reduces light output further. Colortemp does NOT mean brightness, and so a standard halogen that looks yellow is in fact brighter than the same bulb with blue tint on it to make it look cooler.
Since everyone has great reviews of their brightness, I currently have a set of Osram Silverstars in the mail to me. I haven't seen the H7s in stores in the U.S. but you can get the online at powerbulbs.com or like me on ebay.
I should be able to tell you in a day or two how they look.

You are so correct about these "hyperwhite" faux Xenon, but someone said the Osram ...
silverstar sold at powerbulbs is not the same as the Sylvania Silverstar sold in the US. I've inquired Sylvania reps about the availability of H7 silverstar, but they said there is no production plan in the work as the standard halogen H7 is already a high-output bulb
